Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

The first step taken by the college after the first accreditation is to establish Internal Quality Assurance cell(IQAC) under the chairmanship of the Principal.The other members of IQAC are the coordinator of IQAC,two Vice-Principals,Eight senior teachers,the registrar, a member of LMC and two members from Anekant Education Society.

In the deliberations of IQAC the vision and the mission of the college have been discussed in detail in the changing context.Thereupon suitable modifications have been made in accordance with the objective. A suitable work plan has been chalked out for next five years accordingly.

The mechanisms developed for quality assurance are:

  1. Two Vice-Principals, the registrar and Coordinator of IQAC under the guidence of principal have been working time in order to work out efficient and the progressive performance of academic and administrative tasks.
  2. To asses the need of new academic courses IQAC organized meetings of parent representatives, student representatives, members of management.
  3. The practice of finalization of academic calender of each year has been improved through the meeting of Vice-Principals, Coordinators of various committees and the administrative staff.
  4. The proper coordination of different academic, cirricular and extra curricular activities is being institutionalized through repeated discussions and the schedules.
  5. The IQAC has made the teachers research oriented. It has initiated the research committee, in connection with the University, inclusion of value education as an important college activity and strengthening of extetation/outreach activites by setting up suitable committees and making them operational.
  6. The IQAC has initiated feedback mechanisam.The feedback committee takes feedback from students on curricular aspects, teachers evalution, retired teachers and additional support services.
  7. IQAC collects, maintains and analyses documents and document evidences either directly or through the administrative office of the college.
  8. It prepares the annual Quality Assurance(AQAR) and submits it to NAAC.
